The Empowerment space is an initiative created through collaboration with the Westerkwartier playground, World Kitchen & social catering of the LSM.
The aim is to stimulate solidarity and togetherness at local level in tackling poverty. This project aims to reduce poverty among people or alleviate the consequences of poverty by connecting as many people as possible. Various themes are embedded in the whole, such as social cohesion, health, nutrition and lifestyle. But we also aim to use this service to reach people who are alone at home or who have no network.
– Every second and fourth Friday of every month, we will offer 25 delicious free hot meals from our “World Kitchen” that are prepared with lots of love by professional volunteers (chefs). There is sometimes live music and there is always a warm and cosy atmosphere! Feel welcome to come.
