The Leiden Migrant Support Center Foundation invites all Leiden residents to a special evening of connection, dining together, and discussing the future of our city.
🌙 We’ll start with a festive Iftar where everyone is welcome – whether you’re fasting or not.
🍲 Enjoy delicious dishes from around the world, prepared by our World Kitchen volunteers.
🎶 Live guitar music and songs about love, hope, and solidarity.
Afterward, we’ll engage in conversation.
🗳️ Your vote counts! Democracy in action.
In the run-up to the municipal elections on March 18, Leiden residents will meet with members of all Leiden political parties.
Together we’ll discuss topics that affect us all:
* A fair energy transition & affordable housing
* A friendly and equitable parking policy
* Het Volkshuis as the cultural heart of the city
This is your chance to ask questions, make your voice heard, and contribute to the future of Leiden.

Dear friends and volunteers,
Through the LSM’s Vibrant Local Democracy project, we are actively working to connect as much as possible with political parties in Leiden and at the national level. Our goal is clear: to brainstorm together, make our voices heard, and exert real influence on political decisions that affect our city.
This coming Monday at 7:00 PM, the D66 party is organizing an open party meeting at our location in Speeltuin Westerkwartier.
From the “Multilingual Vibrant Local Democracy” (LSM) project group, we cordially invite you to attend.
This is a wonderful and accessible opportunity to:
ask questions;
share ideas and concerns;

In the lead-up to the municipal elections of March 18, 2026, the Vibrant Local Democracy working group of the Leiden Migrant Support Center Foundation is organizing a series of information and debate evenings under the theme:
“Your voice counts! Democracy in action.”
On Friday, February 27, 2026, a special debate evening will take place where Leiden residents will engage with members of all Leiden political parties. This evening is entirely dedicated to meeting, engaging, and having an open, respectful dialogue about the future of our city.
Ask your questions, share your ideas, listen to other residents, and discover how local politics works. We believe that a vibrant democracy starts with well-informed and active residents. That’s why we create space for diverse perspectives and voices from the city—especially from different communities and networks.
