Engage with all Leiden political parties and make your voice heard.
In the lead-up to the municipal elections of March 18, 2026, the Vibrant Local Democracy working group of the Leiden Migrant Support Center Foundation is organizing a series of information and debate evenings under the theme:
“Your voice counts! Democracy in action.”
On Friday, February 27, 2026, a special debate evening will take place where Leiden residents will engage with members of all Leiden political parties. This evening is entirely dedicated to meeting, engaging, and having an open, respectful dialogue about the future of our city.
Ask your questions, share your ideas, listen to other residents, and discover how local politics works. We believe that a vibrant democracy starts with well-informed and active residents. That’s why we create space for diverse perspectives and voices from the city—especially from different communities and networks.

We wish everyone a wonderful, healthy, and connected 2026. A year full of new encounters, wonderful initiatives, and positive energy. We are delighted to invite you to our New Year’s reception on Friday, January 9, 2026, where we will welcome the new year together and celebrate LSM’s 6th anniversary.
This evening will focus on meeting, warmth, and connection. We will reflect on the past year, share new plans, and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, a delicious meal, and live music together.
