DESCRIPTION:The Leids Support Center for Migrants invites you to a series of lectures and discussion evenings. These sessions aim to share knowledge about the climate crisis and energy transition and to increase the societal and political engagement of both migrants and non-migrants in Leiden on these subjects. We combine information sessions with complimentary evening meals and music. \nWe aim to connect with the participants’ experiences by encouraging as much interaction as possible\, seeking their perspectives and experiences. Our goal is to prompt individuals to think for themselves\, as this has the most impact\, allowing us to gather relevant insights from the target audience. \nEnergy Transition: What is needed for a fair energy transition? DESCRIPTION:NEIGHBORHOOD CAMPING PARK MATILO\nPark Matilo will be transformed into a Neighborhood Campsite from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 July!\nFor three days the park is a cozy campsite\, where you can get to know your neighbors better.\nAt the Neighborhood Camping you can be outside all day long\, there is plenty to do for children and adults and everyone is equal.\nAfter all\, we all look equally clumsy with that toilet roll under our arm. \nCOME CAMPING! (all prices are per person)\nFor €35 you can come and sleep for two nights\, have breakfast\, lunch and dinner and you can participate in all activities.\nChildren up to 12 years old pay €12.50.\nIf you want to camp\, but you don’t have camping gear\, you can borrow a tent\, sleeping bag and air mattress from us for free. \nCOME PARTICIPATE!!\nIf you only want to participate in the activities and all meals\, it costs €20 and for children up to 12 it is €10.\nRegister via the website. \nTO SPEND LESS\nIf you have less to spend\, register via the Social Neighborhood Team: adults pay €10 and children up to 12 pay €1. If you only want to participate in activities and meals\, you pay €6 and for a child €1. DESCRIPTION:It is time for vacation!\nOver the past six months\, our volunteers have been working\nhard on various projects and activities. Now it is time to\nrecharge our energy\, so that after the holidays we can get\nback to work with enthusiasm on our beautiful and fun\nprojects. \nThe past six months have been filled with informative\nevenings and meetings with new people. Together we\norganized six multilingual evenings about the climate crisis\nand a fair energy transition. In addition to the focus on\nclimate and energy\, these evenings were also about \nconnection\, inclusivity\, knowledge exchange and cultural\ndiversity. \nAt LSM we are “cultural mixers”; our projects contribute to the\nconstruction of a modern\, multicultural society. We promote\ninteraction between different people and cultures. In times of\ncrisis\, polarization and loneliness\, we act as a social buffer.\nWe strongly believe in the power of collaboration to create\nsocial change. \nThank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our\ninformation evenings and meeting room. Together we build\nan inclusive and diverse community and work towards a\ncivilized future where everyone counts! Join us and celebrate\nthe power of diversity and collaboration with us. \nA special thank you goes to all volunteers and participants of\nLSM. We are very grateful for your dedication and\ncompassion in recent community activities.
